Reminder calls (optional)

A call for the deadline you cannot miss

Some reminders deserve more than a text. With calls set up, Grantkeeper texts the reminder and then calls your own phone with the same words.

Text it like this

Fictional example.

You: Text and call me at 9 am on Nov 28: the county report is due at noon.
Grantkeeper: Set for Nov 28 at 9 am: a text, then a call that says "The county report is due at noon." I’ll text you a code to approve the call.

Who it calls

Only you, at the phone number your Grantkeeper chat already uses. It cannot call a number written into a request, and it never calls donors, volunteers or anyone else. Calls work for owners who text Grantkeeper in iMessage.

Limits that keep it calm

Each call is confirmed with a one-time code before it is placed. Calls happen only during your call hours, 8 AM to 8 PM by default, and at most three a day unless we agree on a different number. The text always goes out first, so if a call does not connect, the reminder is still on your phone.

Calls need a calling number, which has its own cost. We agree on that with you before turning it on.

Good uses

The county report due at noon, the morning a grant portal closes, the day a building inspector is coming, or the last day to renew a registration. Pick the two or three dates a year that would really hurt to miss, and leave everything else as texts.

Most reminders are fine as texts. Save calls for the two or three dates a year that really cannot slip.

Set it up once

For a reminder you cannot miss, Grantkeeper can text you and then call your phone and read it out, within hours you set.
