Text it like this

Fictional example.

You: I added 12 photos to the Annual dinner folder. Short video please: food pantry, coat drive, youth camp, the new van.
Grantkeeper: Video ready: 14 cards, about a minute, a caption on each photo plus a title and a thank-you card. It's in the Annual dinner folder. Want a 30-second cut for your Google profile too?

How it is made

Add the photos on your private page, in the project folder for the event, and send a line or two for each part of the year. Grantkeeper writes a short script: a title card, one card per photo with a caption of a sentence or two, and a closing card with your thanks and website. It renders the cards into an MP4 at 1280 by 720, about four seconds a card, with soft fades between them. Up to 30 cards fit in one video.

Photos have to be in your files as JPEG or PNG, under 8 MB each. Photos sent in a text can be read, but they cannot be placed in a video until they are added to your files. The look is a simple dark background with the caption under each photo.

Where to use it

Play it at the dinner from a laptop, send it to the board, or put it on your website. With Website on, Grantkeeper can add the video to a page and show you a preview before it goes live. Posting to Facebook, Instagram or YouTube stays with you.

Captions with no voice keep it easy to follow in a noisy room or with the sound off.

Permission first

Use photos of people who agreed to be shown, and leave children out unless a parent said yes. Grantkeeper adds names only if you write them in the captions. If you are unsure about a photo, leave it out of this version.

A short cut of seven or fewer cards stays under 30 seconds, which fits a Google Business Profile video.
