Turn a program or event into a paused Search campaign

Text Grantkeeper what you want people to find. It drafts the campaign, ads and keywords in your Google Ads account, paused, for you to look over and switch on.

Text it like this

Fictional example.

You: Make ads for our Saturday food pantry. Use the pantry page on our site.
Grantkeeper: Saved a paused Search campaign: 2 ad groups with 2 ads each, 8 keywords, 2 sitelinks and your county only. Review it in Google Ads, then switch it on yourself.

What it builds

From a short text and your page, Grantkeeper drafts a Search campaign with conversion-based bidding, your service area, two sitelinks with different labels and pages, and two ad groups with two ads each when the program supports that. Each responsive search ad gets 3 to 15 headlines of up to 30 characters and 2 to 4 descriptions of up to 90. Keywords are phrases that fit your mission, not single words.

Everything is created paused and stays inside the daily limit you set during setup. In a grant account, every ad and sitelink must link to your own approved website, so a giving-platform link or a look-alike address is refused. Search partners and the Display Network are turned off.

Reading results

Ask about the last 7 or 30 days and Grantkeeper lists campaigns with spend, clicks, calls and conversions, or keywords from most to least expensive. It also reads what people actually typed before clicking. When searches clearly do not fit, such as job seekers or a business with a similar name, it can add them as negative keywords so the ads stop showing for them. Negative keywords only stop ads; they never add spend.

After an event, it can report the clicks, spend and recorded conversions for that campaign next to the signups your own form received. It keeps the two apart: clicks are not people served, and a number that is not tracked is unknown, not zero.

Connecting your account

Google Ads connects through a Google Ads API project in your own Google account. During setup we create the project, move its sign-in app to production so access does not expire after seven days, and save the connection on your private page with the most Grantkeeper may set per day. Keys and passwords never go in a text.

If the connection stops working, for example after a password change, Grantkeeper says it could not read the account instead of reporting an empty one, and we reconnect it with you.

Grantkeeper builds Search campaigns. Performance Max is allowed in Ad Grants, but it needs a separate setup with us. Grantkeeper does not install website tags or upload offline results, and it does not build audiences from member, prayer or attendance lists, which Google’s policies on religion and health restrict.
