Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook
Plan the week from the calendar you already keep
Grantkeeper reads your calendar through a private link. It uses your events to plan pages, posts and reminders, and it cannot add or change anything.
Text it like this
Fictional example.
What it reads
The connection is the private address your calendar gives you for other apps: the secret address in iCal format in Google Calendar, a public calendar link in Apple Calendar or a published ICS link in Outlook. Grantkeeper can list events for today and tomorrow, or for any range of up to 62 days. It reads titles, times, places and descriptions, which is usually enough to start a page or a post.
Anyone with that address can see your events, so it goes on your private setup page, never in a text. If it is ever shared by mistake, Google Calendar lets you reset it, and you save the new link on the same page.
What it does with your events
Your calendar feeds the rest of the week. Grantkeeper can draft Friday’s newsletter from what is coming up, point out events that still need a page, a post or an ad, prepare reminder drafts for volunteers already signed up, and put upcoming dates into your Monday brief.
For a church, that can mean noticing a special service with no page yet. For a community center, it might be a class series that starts next week with volunteer shifts still open.
For an event page or ads, it uses the date, time and place from the calendar and asks you about anything missing instead of filling it in. Dates follow your time zone, set during setup, so an evening event does not slide to the next day.
What it cannot do
The calendar connection is read-only. Grantkeeper cannot add, move or cancel events, and it does not send invitations, which some calendars email to guests on their own. To change an event, open your calendar as usual. Reading the calendar does not give it access to your email.
When an event changes, update it in your calendar. Grantkeeper reads the new version the next time it looks, and any draft page built from the old details needs the same update.
If services, programs and board meetings live on different calendars, tell us during setup which one Grantkeeper should read. A shared calendar that the whole team already updates is usually the best choice.

Start with this week
Grantkeeper reads your Google, Apple or Outlook calendar to plan pages, posts, reminders and the Monday brief. It never changes events.
- Share the calendar’s private link during setup.
- Ask what is coming up and what still needs a page.
- Keep adding events in your own calendar as usual.
