Donor thank-you gap check

Export the same period from the giving records and the thank-you log. Grantkeeper matches stable gift IDs where available. Similar names alone do not justify merging households or sending another note.

What you send: Compare gifts this month with our sent thank-you log. Show possible gaps, not a new mailing list.
What you send
What you get: A matched gift list with sent dates, possible gaps, duplicate IDs and records needing a person to check.
What you get

Fictional example.

Start with the source records

Export the same period from the giving records and the thank-you log. Grantkeeper matches stable gift IDs where available. Similar names alone do not justify merging households or sending another note.

Keep newsletter subscription status apart from the gift record. If the two files use different identifiers, the assistant returns a review queue. A staff member checks it against the donor system before any new message goes out.

Check before using the draft

An absent log entry is a possible gap. It does not prove that nobody thanked the donor.

Use Google Sheets, Constant Contact. Read the donor follow-up guide.
