Events

Event page and campaign from one text

Text the event details. Grantkeeper drafts the page for your site and builds a paused campaign that links to it.

What you send: Event name, date, time, place, capacity, the sign-up link, languages and your daily budget.
What you send
What you get: An event page draft, a paused Search campaign with two sitelinks, ads and keywords, and a list of missing facts.
What you get

Fictional example.

Text it like this

Fictional example.

You: Fall festival Oct 31, 4 to 7 pm, in the church parking lot. Free, families welcome. $25 a day for ads.
Grantkeeper: Page draft saved: “Fall festival, Oct 31, 4 to 7 pm.” Paused campaign built for Elm Grove and nearby ZIP codes at $25 a day, with “fall festival Elm Grove” and “trunk or treat Elm Grove” ad groups and Directions and Volunteer sitelinks. Missing: a rain plan. Is there one?

Page first

Grantkeeper drafts the event page from your text: name, date, start and end time, place, what to bring, cost if any, an accessibility contact and one Register or Volunteer button. Missing facts, like a rain plan, stay as blanks in the draft until you answer. On WordPress, the draft is saved there and goes live after your YES code.

The page has to be live before the ads can send people to it, so publish it first and check it on a phone.

Fictional example: a fall festival page lists 4 to 7 pm on October 31, the church parking lot, games and food for families, a plain note that the event is free, and a Volunteer button for people who want to help run a booth.

Then the campaign

Grantkeeper builds a paused Search campaign for the event: a daily budget within your limit, Maximize conversions bidding, locations for the towns or ZIP codes people will come from, two sitelinks to different pages, and ad groups for the main reasons people would search, such as coming to the event and volunteering at it. Keywords are multi-word phrases that name the event and the place.

If the event is bilingual, a separate Spanish ad group with Spanish keywords and the Spanish page is clearer than mixing languages in one ad.

Build it two to four weeks ahead, then switch it on in Google Ads once the page is live. Grantkeeper adds a TickTick reminder for the day after the event, so the campaign gets paused before it shows ads for a date that has passed.

The event promotion guide covers the full plan, and the after-event review picks up once it's over.
